Title: intro for essay What is gracious? Graciousness is a value you inculcate from young. To be a gracious person, you need to be pleasantly kind, benevolent, courteous, and be indulgent or beneficient in a pleasantly condescending way. To be gracious, you also need to be well mannered, pleasant, and behave in a polite and considerate way. I have seen a lot of Singaporeans who are ungracious like not giving up seats for elderly or pregnant woman, scold vulgarities in public and spitting saliva on the floor. But sometimes, I did saw some Singaporeans who are gracious. When they saw elderly or pregnant woman, they will give their seats to them. Some Singaporeans will also pick up litters or throw their own litters in to the rubbish bin. Therefore, I think that there is no need to teach Singaporeans how to be gracious. In my essay, I will state the reason why we need and why we do not need to teach Singaporeans how to be gracious and there will be examples for both of the reasons, and I will conclude my essay with my standpoint. by Joeslyn |
