Title: Jagnita's reflection

Wotcher everyone..
To me, graciousness simply means that we have to be polite, respectful to one another, considerate and helpful. Graciousness is not to be taught but it is a moral value that everyone should inculcate from young. In class, Ms Raine showed us a video regarding graciousness.I realised that I am also ungracious in some way as well. After watching that video clip, I realised that there were many situation that were regarded to be ungracious which i previously did not think it to be an ungracious act. One of them was when people are trying to depart the MRT train, the people outside waiting to enter the train just budge into the train without waiting for the people to come out. After that Ms Raine and the class discussed about the video clip. My view after watching the video is that i realised that I am also ungracious in some way and that singapore have alot of ungracious people. If i was in that situation, I will be angry and irritated with that ungracious person. Ms Raine even shared with us about her experience of ungraciousness in the MRT train and bus. An example she shared with us was the bus she boarded. The back of the bus was empty and no one had the initiative to move back to let the others board. The passengers just move to a corner and expected the others to move in. I also do this everytime! Now I know that this is an ungracious act and I will rectify my habit.
We also discussed on the article about Now in Cinemas: The Slobs.
We went through the questions and once again she shared with us her experience in the cinema. She said when she was watching the movie, someone kicked her chair and she told the person politely to stop it. The class also shared their experience. Examples are, some people just leave their drinks after the movie and expect the cleaners to clean it up for them , popcorns were thrown everywhere and phone ringing in the middle of the show and people answering it very loudly.

Moving on, these are some of the ungraciousness behaviour. Firstly, in the MRT, when there are elderly people and pregnant women, young people and teenagers that are seated down will pretend not to see these people and will not offer them any seat. Secondly, in the toilets, users will dirty the toilet seats, making it not usable for the next person. This is highly disgusting and irresponsible! Used sanitary towels sat atop the lidded bins provided precisely to keep them out of sight. Lastly, at hawker centre or any food junctions, when people eat meats with bones, they will spit it out on the table. Imagine having to pick up the fish bones!
Overall, there are alot of ungracious behaviour and there is a need to raise awareness of graciousness. To me, graciousness is very important because it helps us to be a moral individual and it is a benefit for other people.
Toodles!
